Living fully
This week I heard another version of a story with an all too familiar theme. A friend’s mother worked hard her whole life, sacrificing a thousand here and nows for the rewards of eventual retirement. Within a year of retirement, she gets cancer with a 6-month prognosis — at least 20 years short of her expectation of what retirement would ultimately allow.
It’s a story worth retelling ourselves daily.
