Regeneration

Wednesday, April 30th, 2003

My colleague Sally Parker talks about regenerative cultures. These are cultures that are dediacted to reengaging things that have lost their ability to participate in a system’s movement toward wholeness. It applies to people, natural resources, consumables, garbage, and knowledge.

We create our world

Sunday, April 27th, 2003

Another reminder today about the observation that we cannot easily hold two contradictory emotions at the same time. So when we practice gratitude, we leave little or no room for emotions of deficiency. Our emotional karma is in many ways within our scope of influence.

State of the district update

Freedom paradox

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2003

So, how much of an oxymoron is it to command people to live in freedom?

Blog studios

Monday, April 21st, 2003

When I visit the blogs of seasoned and emerging cognizenti, writers, and other knowledge merchants, I have the same experience as when I revisit artists in their studios. Each visit reveals more sketches, research fragments, and pieces in progress. Each phase in their evolution speaks of the magic that happens when closure is less important than creative exploration.
