Welcome to jack/zen!

Yes, this is my new blog @ MoveableType, assembled by my dear friend G (George Nemeth of Brewed Fresh Daily) - thanks - and is the reincarnation of my original 2.5 year old blog, Gassho.

There is no single plan or agenda. The intention here is to be an open space for zen reflections and conversation for anyone who wants to.

Zen blogging for me is more about listening than speaking. Any speaking that does occur comes from listening and is intended to facilitate even deeper and wider listening. Beginner’s ear, to paraphrase the zen reference.

The only promise here is the zen promise: to be impermanent, interdependent, and interested.

Enjoy!

Thanks Chris and welcome .. the tea ceremony was actually my first initiation into zen practice. It is a beautiful practice of presence.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. And Anita, the Munakata monk in gassho (bow of gratitude) has now migrated on the sidebar. He left the Gassho blog a couple of days ago and got lost in the mountains, but he found his way here. The right people always show up …
