Flight mantra

On last night’s flight from Nashville, the ever endearing and witty Southwest Air attendants concluded the mandatory litany of safety instructions with an invitation that could easily serve as a life mantra: … so, sit back and relax or sit up and be anxious - it’s gonna be about an hour either way.

My friend is starting the processes of becoming a SW flight attendant; sent this to her to encourage more zen in flight…

I just flew Southwest (back and forth to Cleveland, BTW) and they said, “In the event of a water landing…and this flight should become a cruise…”
I *am* an anxious flyer. Their joking relaxes me.

A good quote to post on the front door.

One thing I like about a few US airlines is the humor that they bring to the announcements. I flew Song recently and they too had a great inflight announcement.

What I find interesting is that humor creates more attentiveness. A good lesson for teachers, managers, speakers, trainers, parents, leaders.
