On the path
When we let go of small self, large self is revealed; when we let go of small view, large view is revealed; when we let go of small heart, large heart is revealed. Transformation is always this humble path of self to self, view to view, heart to heart.

This is parallel to what a religion professor of mine would manage to end every lecture with:
Samsara is Nirvana, Nirvana is Samsara;
Atman is Brahman, Brahman is Atman;
The Real is the Rational, the Rational is the Real.
If he could help it, he’d work in,
Nietzsche didn’t write Zarathustra; Zarathustra wrote Nietzsche.
Thought you’d be amused.
Peace,
Tor

For years I have hit my head against a wall, a wall that although invisible is still as real as mortar and bricks. I finally understood yesterday that this wall was allowed to stand because I accepted the position, to continuously stand and bang my head on it. I can go around this wall and go somewhere else. I don’t know if it is relevant to what you posted but it seems to me that I was way too focus on reaching a small goal on the other side of that glass wall.

Yes agreed, small goals are self-constricting. They imply a lack of confidence in our capacity to surprise even ourselves!
