The self, as it is
One of the core observations and discoveries in Buddhism is that there is no permanent or independent self. This inspires a daily practice of questions like, How am I different today?, and How do I reflect the world I live in?
These kinds of questions lead to less fear of being different and interdependent - a deep appreciation of being unique and connected. On the other side, it leads to questions like, How can we honor the uniqueness and impermanence of others? and How can we honor the connectedness and interdependency of others?
