Optimism

There’s a lot to be said about optimism and its power to inspire courage in spite of the apparent odds. It’s an unwillingness to be intimidated.

At the root of courage is commitment to make the difference we want to see in our world.

    courage, optimism, open-ness, non-judgement, presence are all parts of the recipe for change. commitment comes from compassion and understanding. otherwise it’s false. compassion comes from non-judgement, which comes from openness and presence. but optimism is unique, as you imply, in that it leads the other qualities. optimism is more a choice than a skill or an understanding. (i’m just thinking with typing here) thanks for your seeds of contemplation…
