Of course
Apparently, from an informal report I got today, the energy at Cleveland city hall became unusually quiet just before the primaries and elections that left the city hall incumbent with an improbable loss of sovereignty to the city’s first bi-racial mayor (African-Italian American).
This report came on the heels of my wondering aloud about the possible impact on the city from the month long meditation and mandala building by Tibetan monks brought to city hall by the Cleveland Museum of Art. Yikes! In my world, it would be absolutely no surprise that their energy shifted city hall’s energy in a profound way - emptying ego and opening space for new energy.
Not so strange considering the report recently of a researcher going to 4 towns on the Israeli-Palestinian border, asking people if they want to learn meditation in hopes of bringing peace. (Sorry I don’t remember the researcher’s name). Anyway, all 4 towns averaged 1000 annual bombings. One town agreed, did meditation for a year and experienced zero (yes!) bombings that year while the other 3 towns had their usual 1000 bombings.
This needs not to be news, strange, or subject of skepticism. It needs to be understood as natural as the seasons.

Jack - 1000 bombings a year? With all due respect, where in the world is that stat from? That’s three a day, every day. I don’t exactly doubt it, but it’s still an incredible number. Thanks.

We know that everything we do is an intervention. The mere presence of the researcher changes the equation. Is meditation the moon, or is it the finger pointing at the moon?
