Loving the summer

It’s time to breathe and pause and reflect on mid-summer. What do you especially love about the summer? What delights your eyes, ears, mind, memory, imagination, heart, sense of discovery, and comfort? What is particularly worthy of savor, of spending the time to drink in? What is summer’s beauty and truth?

Coming from Winnipeg where it can go below 30 below in winter I love going outside at 6 a.m. and feeling the air begin to warm, the dew on the grass begin to dry, and the the July sun heating up the day.

That’s a great image - especially in contrast to your winters, which leads to the question: Is the quality of anything more vivid when the contrast is as vivid?
