Attention, repeat as indicated

Attention is an amplifier. What we give attention to amplifies across time and space. And so, it makes sense to give full attention to what we want to see most amplified. And no sense whatsoever to spend any time giving attention to that which we do not want to see amplified.

Yes, but, I want to talk about my problems. I want to talk about what’s wrong and how that bothers me and keeps my head spinning, stomach churning, and feet squirming. If you care, you’ll spend as much time focusing on what I have declared wrong. If you cared, you would be as committed as I am to being at war with whatever I declare a problem.

Attention is an amplifier. What we give attention to amplifies across time and space. And so, it makes sense to give full attention to what we want to see most amplified. And no sense whatsoever to spend any time giving attention to that which we do not want to see amplified.

Yes, but …

Attention is an amplifier …

You can have anything you want in life,
but you do have to pay… attention.

Thanks Debi for the great Hawaiian quote. And thank Kim for noticing the irony of misspelling the name of a dictionary : )
