Baggage management
It’s always interesting hearing airport announcements that we “report any unattended baggage.” A great life metaphor, that if we don’t pay attention to our emotional baggage, it can be hijacked by others lacking good intentions.

Jack: It’s been too long. This post made me laugh out loud. Also, it is so true. Thanks for this little gem. Hope that you are well.

As I am nearing the end of a certification process in emotional intelligence, this struck a chord. In a world where emotion is devalued, we can easily be inattentive to our own baggage and that of others. No less perilous than its fate in the hands of hijackers, we can just as easily lose our precious affective experiences and the guidance that it gives to our values and dreams.
